Sonoma Historic Barn Kitchen

Photo of kitchen looking over dining table in center of room to farm sink under high window and ceilings supported by steel truss.

Wood walls painted white and contrasting dark cabinetry tie together a variety of materials in this massive kitchen.

The beautiful, reclaimed terra-cotta floor tiles keep your feet on the ground in this soaring space, supported by decorative steel trusses high overhead. A farm table occupies the center of the room, with the main sink located on axis under two pairs of stacked casement windows overlooking the pool in the back yard. The counter-tops are alternately zinc, marble, and Maple butcher block – adding variety to the dark cabinetry lining the perimeter of the room. French doors on either side lead to exterior stone patios.
