Inspired by Japanese wood joinery, this new Redwood entrance to an old Mill Valley home features elegant proportions and impeccable craftsmanship.
This contemporary remodel of an old Mill Valley home features a new entrance made completely out of Redwood. Two massive logs were turned on a lathe to create column shafts that support an open truss. This, in turn, supports brackets, rafters, purlins, and roof decking that was reclaimed from the Redwood flooring removed from the existing house as part of the remodel.
